More than one thousand people participated in “Perm Walk”.

The city festival of Nordic walking “Perm Walk” took place at the Sukharev sport ground and in the forest behind it. 1070 people participated in this mass sport event.

Deputy Head of Perm City Administration Aleksey Gribanov participated in the opening ceremony of the festival. He marked the convenience of the venue for the “Perm Walk”.

”Chernyayevskiy City Forest has become an important place for residents of Perm. It is very interesting to walk here; and you always meet many people here who are jogging or skiing. Nowadays, the city authorities are doing much for the city to have more such areas. “Perm Walk” helps greatly to popularise the love for sport because Nordic walking is the best variant for people of any age,” said Aleksey Gribanov.

While the participants were walking along the distances, their supporters enjoyed Perm musical bands. Moreover, during the festival people could buy sport goods in a special EXPO area.

The absolute winners at a distance of 6 km were Khalit Mukhtasarov and Elena Suranova.

There were also winners for each age category. Winners got awards from partners and sponsors of the event. More details about results are accessible on “Umnyisport” site.

The festival of Nordic walking “Perm Walk” was organised by Perm City Administration together with Perm Krai Ministry of Sport and with the sports school “Letayushchiy lyzhnik”.
